Description
Dr. D'Onofrio joined The Heart Physicians, now Stamford Health Medical Group, in 2011. He was a major in the US Air Force at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, NY, where he also served as Chief of Medicine. Over the years, Dr. D'Onofrio has been elected many honors including: Consumer Research of America - Top Cardiologist 2010/2013 and "Teacher of the Year" by the resident/medical students from Stamford Hospital. He has many devoted patients who have been followed by him for over 30 years. He is passionate about cardiology and always eager to help fellow staff and students better understand the specialty. Dr. D'Onofrio resides in Stamford with his wife, has six children (two sets of twins!) and three grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family and promotes a healthy cardiac lifestyle.
